Mears local home care teams support people with their daily living helping them to live independently in their own home.

Our care services include personal care, help with domestic chores, going shopping, home aids and adaptations, attending  doctor or hospital or other appointments, taking gentle exercise or staying connected with your social network - your family, friends and the local community.

We can help you decide what services you need to meet your specific lifestyle and priorities: it may be as little as a 15 minutes call a day.

We can provide care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week either under contract to, and funded by, your Local Authority, Primary Care Trust or Health Trust, or directly with you as a private customer. If you already receive funded care you can choose to top this up if there is something you need that is not covered under your care package.

We focus on the promotion of independence. Our ethos is to work in partnership with you and your family, not to take control. Our home care incorporates the essential elements of choice, competence, individuality, continuity, status and respect.

We support people of all ages and with complex conditions such as dementia, a learning disability and people who just need a little bit of extra help to remain living independently.

Our support packages are tailored to individual needs and can be changed and adapted even on day to day basis. We work with you and your family to put together your personal support package and, if necessary, liaise with other local organisations such as transport, local leisure facilities and retailers, on your behalf.

Where we have a local Home Improvement Service we work in partnership to ensure your home is safe and secure and has the aids and equipment you need to enhance your comfort and independence.
