Proactive, not reactive
Mears was established to provide repairs and maintenance services to housing associations and local authorities, essentially responding to emergencies. But we take a proactive approach to what is essentially a reactive service. Our planned approach ensures we have the right van stocks, plus trained and available staff.
We don’t believe in sticking-plaster solutions but instead aim to provide first-time fixes that last. To make the most of every visit to a property, we carry out ‘health checks’ on the most likely areas of failure to reduce the number of future call-outs.
If we’re doing our job right, you shouldn’t actually see us around too often.
