Mears Group has entered into an exciting partnership with The Prince’s Trust. As a Patron of the Trust, Mears will support the charity’s national programmes to upskill young people.
The Prince’s Trust is celebrating its 40th year and has been successful in supporting over 800,000 hardest-to-reach young people move into education, training or employment.
Mears will be a member of the Trust’s influential Built Environment Leadership Group, a committee of industry leaders, and work alongside individuals that share a common passion about improving disadvantaged young people’s life chances.
The partnership will enable Mears to engage in volunteering opportunities and harness the talent within the organisation for local community activities. This will include sharing best practices and strategies from both organisations, and focus on community cohesion, education, and employment opportunities for young people Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
To kick-start the initiative, Mears employees will have access to one-day corporate volunteering opportunities and workshops to help equip young people with job-related skills.
