Mears Group has been recognised for their commitment to communities with the ‘Organisational Leadership Award’ at the prestigious National Social Value awards held in London.
The Social Value Awards celebrate innovation and leadership in social value, showcasing best practice from around the UK on how all sectors are embedding social value into the way they do business.
Mears was recognised for being an organisation that has social value running throughout its activity as an intrinsic part of its identity.
The win comes on the back of the revelation that in 2019, Mears delivered on average £5500 each of social and diversity impact activity and is the first organisation in the housing sector to have received a Level 1 Social Value Certification by Social Value International.
