Mears Group, a leading provider of housing services across the UK, has been awarded Gold accreditation under the Inclusive Employers Standard, recognising its continued commitment to creating a fair and inclusive workplace.
The Group achieved a Gold rating, awarded to just 3% of participating organisations, after scoring above both UK and industry benchmarks across all six pillars of the Inclusive Employers Standard.
Leadership commitment, employee networks and social mobility initiatives were identified as particular areas of strength, highlighting the progress made by the Group in creating an inclusive culture and supporting colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds.
The Inclusive Employers Standard is an evidence-based accreditation programme run by Inclusive Employers, designed to help organisations understand their progress in creating inclusive workplaces and identify areas for continued development.
Jo Fry, Chief People Officer for Mears Group, said:
“We’re delighted to have been awarded Gold accreditation under the Inclusive Employer Survey. We recognise that there is always more that can be done in this area, but we’re pleased to have made significant progress in the right direction.
“This accreditation provides valuable recognition and reinforces our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can feel valued and supported.”
Emily Pattinson, Senior Inclusive Employers Standard Programme Lead, Inclusive Employers, comments:
“We’re incredibly proud that Mears Group has demonstrated a clear commitment to building and inclusive culture and has achieved a Gold accreditation.
