Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £21.50 an hour, plus company van & fuel card

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm

Due to a new contract win delivering kitchen and bathroom works for a existing customer, we are looking for a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team in Dundee & Angus. This is a hand on, field-based role working across tenanted properties in Angus and Dundee, carrying out a range of electrical installations, repairs, inspection and testing, including consumer unit changes and wiring in kitchens and bathrooms.

You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations you work on are safe and fit for continued use, helping to protect our residents, members of the public, clients, colleagues and Mears employees from the potential dangers associated with electricity.

As an Electrician, you will play an important role in supporting the communities we serve. Working safely, professionally and providing a high standard of service to residents will be an important part of the role, and your contribution will help us deliver a positive service across Angus and Dundee.

Electrical Duties:

· You will need proven experience in installing, fault finding and maintaining electrical systems within the social housing sector.

· You will have strong knowledge and experience of installing, repairing, inspecting and testing electrical installations, as well as carrying out repairs within tenanted properties.

· The role will include carrying out replacements to electrical accessories, including sockets, extractor fans and light switches.

· You will also be expected to have knowledge and experience of first fix and second-fix electrical installations.

Role Criteria:

· City & Guilds / Level 3 electrical installations to include AM2

· Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)

· Experience working within social housing, including kitchen environments

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Flexible approach to working

· Ability to work as a team

· Full UK driving licence
