- Review certification, documentation, and records to ensure accuracy and full audit compliance
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required
- Identify training needs and support development to maintain competency levels across the team
- Enforce HR policies including attendance, conduct, and performance standards
- Monitor and manage company assets including vehicles, tools, PPE, and compliance-related equipment
- Oversee material usage and ensure cost-effective delivery of compliance works and remedials
- Use system reports and dashboards to track compliance performance, risk areas, and service delivery
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, ensuring clear communication and resolution of compliance-related queries
- Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate programme delivery and maintain compliance standards
- Support audits, mobilisations, and service improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance performance
- Assist with budget control, forecasting, and identifying efficiencies within compliance delivery
- Provide cover for other supervisors during absence or peak workload periods
- Attend toolbox talks, compliance briefings, training sessions, and company meetings
- Ensure all activities reflect company values and maintain a professional, safety-first approach at all times
Role Criteria:
- Previous experience in a Compliance Supervisor or similar role within housing or property maintenance
- Proven track record of managing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance activities (e.g. gas, electrical, and other statutory requirements)
- Experience overseeing compliance programmes within occupied properties, including planned servicing and remedial works
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and relevant compliance legislation (e.g. gas and electrical safety standards)
- Working knowledge of compliance systems, certification processes, and audit requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective people management with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and compliance records
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality services
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, risk-aware approach
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple compliance workstreams
