Work experience
At Mears, we believe in creating opportunities and supporting people within the communities we serve. Work experience can be a valuable way to gain insight into the world of work, build confidence and develop new skills that can help shape future career choices.
Across our network of branches, our teams work in a wide range of roles supporting housing maintenance, repairs, housing services and public sector partnerships across the UK. Depending on the location and availability within your area, work experience opportunities may provide an introduction to different parts of our business and help you understand more about the type of work we do and the people who make it happen.

As every Mears branch and contract operates differently, opportunities can vary from location to location. The experiences available, areas of focus and length of placements may differ depending on local capacity and business activity at the time. While we are unable to guarantee specific opportunities, we always welcome hearing from people who are interested in learning more.
If you would like to express an interest in work experience with Mears, simply complete the enquiry form. Tell us a little about and what type of experience you would like to gain. Our local teams will review requests and contact you if suitable opportunities are available.
We look forward to hearing from you and helping more people explore future opportunities with Mears.
Please note that submitting an enquiry does not guarantee a placement. Opportunities vary by location and are subject to availability.
