From this month [July 2026], Mears Group will provide responsive repairs, void refurbishment, planned works and compliance services to over 7,000 homes across South Worcestershire and North Gloucestershire on behalf of Rooftop Housing Group.

This new ten-year partnership will focus on delivering high-quality, responsive, and customer-focused services.

Putting customers at the heart of service delivery, the contract will ensure homes are safe, well maintained and fit for the future. Playing an active role throughout the procurement and mobilisation phase, residents were instrumental in helping shape service priorities and influencing the decision-making process

Lucas Critchley, CEO Mears Group said:

“I am delighted to be working with the team at Rooftop Housing Group on a shared ambition to deliver a high-quality service, that puts Rooftop’s residents at the heart of decision making.
“This is an important contract award for the Group within Mears original heartlands and gives the Group yet another opportunity to deliver all-encompassing, long-term asset management solutions, in partnership with a like-minded client.
“We look forward to creating a lasting partnership that ensures customers’ homes are well-maintained, safe and cared for, by leveraging the full extent of the Group’s operational, professional and technical capability.”

Boris Worrall, Rooftop Group Chief Executive said,

“Our customers consistently tell us that having a reliable repairs service and investing in their homes are their top two priorities. That’s why I am delighted that we have secured a long-term partnership with Mears, who have a long track record of delivering great repairs and maintenance services across the country.
“I would like to thank everyone who contributed their time and insight throughout the process, including those customers involved in the procurement process.”
This contract reinforces Mears’ strong position in the housing sector, it’s ambition to grow its current footprint and its ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a difference to communities across the UK.
