Congratulations to our plumbing apprentice Chris Grainger, who reached the finals of ‘Apprentice of the Year’ at the CIH Midlands Awards.Chris is one of 13 apprentices at our branch in Birmingham and started the training scheme two years ago. He is now working towards becoming a gas engineer.General Manager at Birmingham, Phil Ross, said: “We’re all incredibly proud of Chris. He is a fantastic lad – a real star of the future. He is very focused, conscientious and switched on. Awards like this give Mears a good standing for the future – young people will want to join us when they see what they can achieve.”
