Mears Appointed to Homes and Communities Agency DPP3 Framework

Mears New Homes has been appointed to the Homes and Communities Agency’s "Delivery Partner Panel 3 Framework," which will last a period of 4 years and will generate development contracts and projects of typically 50 to 500 units.

DPP3 is intended to enable the procurement of different types of residential development, for example open market housing of various types, starter homes, other affordable homes, homes for rent and extra care development. It is intended to enable the procurement of homes in different ways, for example the provision of custom build homes, homes built using off site manufacture, custom build and provision of serviced self-build plots. Bidders were required to demonstrate their capability in terms of both contract and development led projects.

Mears has been successfully appointed to all five geographical lots, which include the areas of North East Yorkshire & Humberside, North West, Midlands, East and South East excluding London; and the South & South West.

The previous framework, ‘DPP2’ generated 23,000 new homes and an estimated Total Value £8bn - based on gross development value (GDV) for development schemes and construction cost for construction schemes.

As a national business with a branch network operating across each of the above areas, this is a fantastic win for Mears and one, which will undoubtedly generate opportunity for New Homes across the country.
