Mears Group has been awarded a new repairs contract for 8,700 RHP homes following a detailed procurement process. Building on an 11 year relationship, Mears will continue to provide routine and gas repairs, gas servicing, voids and planned services for RHP customers when the new contract begins in June. The contract will initially run for five years and includes the option to extend for another five in the future.Anna Benbow, Director of Property Services at RHP, says: “The procurement process involved a high level of input from our customers and asked potential contractors to demonstrate their commitment to RHP’s customer service ethos. We look forward to continuing the next stage of our partnership; delivering excellent services and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.”As well as offering excellent levels of service for RHP customers the new contract includes the opportunity to offer local apprenticeships within the team, with plans to recruit five new apprentices in the first year of the contract.Mears have an ethos of supporting the communities they work in and during their partnership with RHP they have been involved in a number of local regeneration projects. They also worked with RHP and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre to raise awareness about cyber-bullying and promote online safety to young customers.
