Mears Carers Alfie Jones and Stevie Foster from Wiltshire have scooped the ‘Rising Star’ Award in a double award win at the very first ‘Proud to Care Social Care Celebration’ Awards hosted by Wiltshire Council.
The awards recognised the work done by individuals who provided valuable care and support for adults throughout Wiltshire’s local communities
Stevie Foster is known for her absolutely positive attitude towards everyone she comes across. She loves her job and works to help her service users to live as independently as possible.
Although Alfie Jones has only been a Care Worker since July 2018, he has already made a huge impact on his service users.
Branch Manager, Gemma Izod, said:
“We are absolutely delighted for Stevie and Alfie to be recognised as the next generation of carers who provide high standards of care to improve people’s lives.
“Care is hard work, and we have some exceptional individuals in the business. This is a great validation for our branch and the hard work that we do to make a difference to our service users’ lives.
“Well done to Stevie and Alfie, they have made us very proud.”
