Mears is delighted announce that the Rotherham care branch has been awarded new contracts by the NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver continuing healthcare. The service currently supports 350 clients with a local team of over 130 professional care workers.For the new contracts Mears will provide general domiciliary care, end of life care and also care for people living with complex and life limiting conditions through Mears Nurseplus. The services will provide quality tailored packages that are responsive and flexible. Homecare visits can range from a few visits a day to 24 hour care and clients will be able to choose how they wish to be cared for with support provided on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.Mears Nurseplus specialises in care of adult and paediatric clients who have a range of severe conditions that require clinical intervention and management. The service helps clients to live as independently as possible with comfort, consistency, dignity and respect.Bev Green, Mears Rotherham Branch Manager said: “I’m exceptionally pleased we have been awarded these contracts as it will mean we can now deliver continuity of care. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our team to develop their skills, we will also be looking to recruit more local people with specialist skills and a passion for care.”Mears works with people in their own homes providing personal care, domestic and social support enabling them to be an active part of their local community and to improve their quality of life. Services are centred on the individual and staff work with clients to deliver the support they require.
