The awards, held last night at the Natural History Museum in London, celebrate organisations that show genuine appreciation for their people - recognising who they are, not just what they do. Copart UK Ltd was named the Gold winner in the category.
This award reflects the depth of our commitment to creating a culture where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued. It recognises the scale of our efforts to make appreciation a meaningful, inclusive, and everyday part of life at Mears.
At the heart of our approach is the Mears Amazing People (MAP) Awards - our colleague-nominated monthly scheme that celebrates individuals and teams who bring our Red Thread values of people, purpose, better, and together to life.
Over the past year, colleagues sent more than 3,700 e-cards and issued over 6,000 awards - a testament to how deeply appreciation is embedded within our culture.
Jo Fry, Group HR Director, said:
“We’re delighted to have been recognised for our people appreciation strategy. This award is for everyone at Mears - it reflects the warmth, kindness, and connection that define our culture. Recognition at Mears isn’t just about what people achieve, but who they are. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and remain committed to making every colleague feel valued and supported.”
This award is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the amazing people who make Mears such a special place to work. Thank you to everyone who helps us build a culture of appreciation every day. Well done to all involved.
