Mears New Homes, working in partnership with One Housing Group, are pleased to announce that we have secured a new development site in the small town of Arlesey, in South Bedfordshire.
The former pasture land site is situated off the High Street, wrapping around the White Horse Pub; and has been secured with the benefit of outline planning consent for up to 56 new dwellings, ranging from 2 to 5 bedroom homes from Mears standard suite of archetypes.
One Housing Group is a Registered Provider based in Camden and provides high quality homes and care. They manage over 16,000 homes across 27 London boroughs and surrounding home counties and care for over 11,500 people to help them live independently. One Housing has made firm commitments towards increasing the supply of affordable homes across London and the South East through building 1,500 new affordable homes by 2019.
We will be working together on a joint venture basis to develop the scheme, which will comprise up to 36 homes for open market sale and the delivery of 20 affordable homes for both Shared Ownership and Rent.
Our detailed design development and planning process will commence in August, and we expect to be commencing works on site in the new year of 2018.
