Mears Group, the leading social housing repairs and maintenance provider in the UK and a major presence in the domiciliary care market, is short-listed for three awards for its gas safety work with Cross Keys Homes and East Durham Homes.For the last six years, Mears Group has worked together with both Cross Keys Homes, a housing association in Peterborough with 10,000 properties, and East Durham Homes, a social housing provider with 8,300 homes, to ensure gas safety. In that time, both partnerships have achieved perfect records of 100% gas servicing as well as zero reportable or minor incidents.The award nominations are for ‘Collaboration of the Year’, for both Cross Keys Homes and East Durham Homes partnerships, and ‘Contractor Initiative of the Year’ at the Association of Gas Safety Managers’ (AGSM) Supplier Excellence Awards. The AGSM set standards for excellence in the gas safety sector and provides ‘best practice’ for organisation.
