About the role
We are recruiting for a General Operative to join our team in Dover. In this role, you will support our trades teams with a range of general labouring duties, including assisting tradespeople with day-to-day works, carrying out void clearance and removing waste to skips or Thanet Waste facilities, undertaking garden clearance and minor landscaping tasks, and completing general site labouring activities. You will also be required to drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle as part of the role.
Duties:
- Support tradespeople with day-to-day maintenance and repair works
- Carry out general labouring duties across sites
- Undertake void clearance, including removal and disposal of waste
- Complete garden clearance and minor landscaping tasks
- Load, unload, and move materials and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas
- Assist with transporting tools, materials, and waste between locations
- Drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle as required for operational duties
Role Criteria:
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment safely in line with health and safety requirements
- Previous experience in a general labouring or similar role
