Senior Project Manager

Location: Remote

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £60,000 per annum plus £4,800 car allowance and company benefits

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of some of the Group’s most high profile and complex projects. This is a senior level role requiring strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while delivering results against demanding timescales and budgets.

You will be responsible for planning, executing and finalising projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide assurance, governance and expert guidance to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement in project delivery.

About the Role:

As Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex and high stakes projects and large contract mobilisations across the Group.

  • Lead the prioritisation and oversight of projects, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide senior stakeholder management, acting as a trusted advisor and using advanced influencing and diplomacy skills to shape strategic decisions and deliver the Group strategy.
  • Manage complex and high stakes projects and large contract mobilisations, applying expert judgement, leadership and governance to ensure successful delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead and develop a specialist project delivery team, setting clear objectives, performance measures and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement to deliver a high performing project delivery function.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the project delivery team and colleagues throughout the Group, providing expert advice, leadership and assurance, and shaping best practice and standards within the function.
  • Oversee scheduling activity and resource allocation across the project delivery function, assigning direct report resources and negotiating with senior colleagues and third parties or suppliers to ensure optimal resourcing for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned

Key Criteria:

  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • Qualified to PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile Project Management level qualification or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a project management role, managing complex projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience of dealing with challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously and manage priorities independently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
