Contract synopsis
Opened in 2007, Blaise Weston Court is an extra care housing scheme offering an affordable, positive lifestyle choice for older people in Bristol. The scheme provides a safe, secure and vibrant community for those over 55, who want to live independently with personalised care designed for their needs. It consists of 55 apartments and provides an alternative to residential care. It enables service users to live in a self-contained flat, with their own front door. A large communal lounge also allows residents to come together and make new friends.
What are we doing?
The aim of the scheme is to allow older people to live independently in their own homes and have access to a range of support, such as 24/7 care and community events. We’re proud to offer care services that are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) including:
- Washing, dressing, bathing, personal care and hygiene
- Getting in and out of bed
- Food preparation
- Medication assistance
- Laundry and domestic services
- Social inclusion
- Housing support
- One-to-one support
What are the outcomes?
At Blaise Weston Court we ensure service users receive high-quality care services and get a good life balance and emotional wellbeing support. We do this by providing dedicated care services and organising various activities throughout the year. These activities enable them to meet other people, feel part of something special and helps with loneliness. Some of these activities include bingo, quizzes, book clubs, live bands, fitness sessions and much more.
