Care UK in Newcastle, now part of Mears Group, has been recognised byhomecare.co.ukin the Top 10 Agencies Awards 2015, which highlights the most recommendedhomecare agenciesineach region of the UK.The Newcastle branch came forth out of 231 homecare agencies in North East England in the Awards, which are based on over 3,000 recommendations received last year from service users as well as their family and friends.Homecare.co.uk lists thousands of home care providers across the country, allowing anyone to search for care services in their area. It also lets people who have experienced services firsthand post recommendations, giving added confidence to those looking for care services. These recommendations also form the basis for the Top 10 Agencies Awards.Ray C,son of a service user, recommended Care UK in Newcastle, saying: “The caring staff have provided a reliable, flexible and caring support for my father. They genuinely want to look after him and this was demonstrated when he got lost recently whilst out. The staff raised the alarm quickly and stayed with the family until he was found safe and well. They regularly put themselves out to go the extra mile, for example when they took an incorrectly dispensed medication box back to the chemist to be corrected.
