Eastbourne Homes and Mears support Children in Need

Staff at Eastbourne Homes and Mears teamed up to take part in a fundraising event in support of Children in Need on Friday 15 November.

To raise money, a number of employees at the Ivy Terrace office took part in a mufti day and also organised a staff competition 'You must have been a beautiful baby'. Baby pictures were displayed on a board and everyone had to pay £2 to work out who was who.

The winners of the baby competition received chocolate and vouchers. As a result, Eastbourne Homes and Mears managed to raise a total of £118.85, with donations still coming in.

Jane McCarthy-Penman, Governance & Compliance Manager at Eastbourne Homes, said: "It is important to support charities like Children in Need, and by arranging a simple and fun charity event, we were able to raise money and awareness.

"The staff at Eastbourne Homes are generous and enjoy taking part in charity events. It was no surprise that they jumped at the opportunity to bring in baby photographs to help raise money."
