Clients from a mental health service have been celebrating the sunny weather in style thanks to a fantastic local partnership.
Stonham, the care and support division of Home Group, and repairs and maintenance provider Mears teamed up to revamp Natalie House, in the St Mary's area of Southampton, and host a garden party for the local community.
The Mayor of Southampton joined guests in the garden of Natalie House, which provides short term accommodation for adults with mental health issues and helps them to learn independent living skills.
In preparation for the event Mears staff spent a week volunteering at the service to bring it up to date, decorating the games room and kitchen and putting up notice boards, blinds and shelves. The party also gave Mears a chance to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Paula Farrugia, senior client services manager for Stonham, said: "I'm delighted that we've been able to work with Mears to brighten up Natalie House and throw such a fantastic garden party. Mears spent a week working for free at the service and the results will really make a difference to the clients living here.
"Guests attending the party today have been able to learn more about how we help our clients to make positive changes in their lives, and see how partnership working between organisations can help improve vital local services."
Steve Byatt, branch manager for Mears Ferndown, said: "We are extremely pleased to support Stonham's garden party and celebrate our 25th anniversary today. Mears has had the pleasure of providing response and planned maintenance services to Natalie House for over three years, so when they asked for assistance earlier in the year we were only too pleased to help.
"I'm sure the party today will strengthen our relationship with Stonham, their clients and the community as a whole, and we look forward to supporting many similar events in the future."
