Insitu Care acquired by Mears

Mears, the leading provider of home care and support services and a strategic partner in Wiltshire’s Help to Live at Home programme is delighted to announce the acquisition of Insitu Care, which provides home support to people in the Salisbury area. Insitu Care already supports Mears in Amesbury so continuity of service for existing customers will be maintained. Mears has made the acquisition, together with the acquisition of Careline Community Care, as part of its efforts to grow its care business in Wiltshire and surrounding areas. Insitu Care has a significant private customer base and Mears welcomes its expertise to help expand and grow the business. With this acquisition Mears welcomes around 50 new members of staff and is particularly pleased that Jayne Forde and Shelia Ferguson from Insitu Care, who were the owners of the business, will be joining Mears and helping to develop the business across the county.Mears are looking to recruit more local people with a passion for care. Care workers will be offered guaranteed contract hours together with an excellent remuneration package. The package will include paid for training to ensure they receive the best possible support, keep up to date with new developments and continue to enhance their skills.Alan Long Executive Director, Mears said: “Most people want to remain living in their own homes rather than going into residential care. By expanding our service in Wiltshire we will be giving people a positive choice. Care workers play a vital role in enabling older and disabled people to live life as they choose.”“Mears is dedicated to ensuring all our clients receive high quality support and we welcome applications from anyone who wants to make a real and positive difference to people’s lives.”For further information please contact: 0845 266 8944 or email Wiltshire.care@mearsgroup.co.uk
