Mears New Homes are currently developing a scheme of 41 homes in partnership with Sovereign Housing Group in Aston, Oxfordshire. During the early stages of the scheme, we were contacted by the nearby Aston Pre-School, who were seeking support for their Garden Refurbishment Project.
The Mears Foundation is the independent charitable arm of Mears Group. The Foundation is a grant-making trust that exists to help improve the lives of vulnerable or disadvantaged people in the UK and abroad through practical help, support and intervention.
The foundation works with groups and individuals who share our values to improve their lives and life chances by providing them with the opportunities and skills to become stronger and more self-reliant.
Since Mears New Homes began back in 2014, we have held a number of charity fund raising events in support of the Mears Foundation, including our annual Clay Pigeon Shoot and Networking event and it is always a pleasure to be able to see some of that grant money being made available for community and social value initiatives that can make a real impact locally to our projects.
Claire Wood, Head of Fund raising for the school committee, said:
"Thank you so much to Mears who have very kindly donated £1000 to our Pre-school. We are currently undergoing a complete garden refurbishment and this money will go towards a bespoke free flow climbing frame for the children. We really appreciate your generosity"
