Twenty teams took to the course, made up of colleagues and Friends of the Foundation who travelled from across the country, including London and Leeds.
The atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of good-spirited competition and a shared commitment to supporting the Foundation's work. The weather held beautifully, the atmosphere was welcoming throughout, and the barbecue at the clubhouse was once again a highlight of the day.
A huge well done to this year’s winning team, which included Tim Kennedy from the Mears HR team as well as players from Howells Recruitment. The event raised over £8,000, which will be matched by Mears Group – making a real difference to charities and good causes in the communities where we live and work.
Heather Tyrer, General Manager of the Mears Foundation, said:
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year’s golf day such a success – from colleagues who helped organise to the teams who travelled from near and far to take part. It was fantastic to welcome so manyof our Friends of the Foundation too. The funds raised will go directly to local projects and charities that are helping to change lives in the communities where we live and work.A big thank you once again to everyone who made the day such a success.
