Mears helps with makeover of local church

When Mears North Lanarkshire was approached by Father McGoldrick, the Minister of the Sacred Heart Church Bellshill, and asked for help they were delighted to pledge their support to assist with the proposed makeover. The church, a central part of the local community, had become worn over time and was badly in need of an update.Mears painters Derek Ross, Robert Murdoch, Stuart Murdoch and their apprentice Kyle Thomson took on the challenge and dedicated a week to preparing and painting all the interior walls. The redecoration made a huge difference and has helped to revitalise the church. Local Councillors Harry Curran, Marina Lyle and Frank McNally visited Scared Heart Church to see the transformation and praised the work done by the four Mears painters.Father McGoldrick, Minister of the Scared Heart Church, said: “On behalf of the parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mears and their staff for the excellent work that has been carried out to the interior of our church.” “The church was in need of a makeover and the redecoration of the interior has completely transformed its appearance. The parishioners are delighted with the end result and many people have commented on the quality of the workmanship.
