Mears Painter Derek Ross and Apprentice Painter Scott CarruthersMears North Lanarkshire received a request for help from Mr Stanley Cook, Session Clerk of the McDonald Memorial Church. The church is the heart of the community and over time it had become very tired. Mears staff in North Lanarkshire were only too happy to help.In June Mears Painter Derek Ross and Apprentice Painter Scott Carruthers (pictured) spent three and a half days redecorating the ground floor. They knew how important it was to do a fantastic job as the church plays a vital role in the community as it is used by many different groups including Guides, Brownies, the Bellshill Probus Club and the Carpet Bowling Club. Once the painting was completed everyone was pleased with the result and felt that it had made the church brighter and more inviting.Mr Cook, Session Clerk of the McDonald Memorial Church said:"On behalf of the congregation I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mears and their staff for the excellent work which has been carried out to the interior of our church.
