Mears New Homes are delighted to have secured a new development site in the village of Clifton, Bedfordshire.
The site has the benefit of outline planning consent for 95 new dwellings and includes the delivery of a minimum of 33 affordable homes for both Shared Ownership and Rent.
We are speaking with a number of existing and potentially new Registered Provider partners regarding Joint Venture options and the Affordable Housing element, as this will be a key success factor in our delivery of this scheme.
This is the third and also the largest land transaction that we have concluded with Land Promoters Gladman Developments in under two years. We are all extremely pleased with the way that negotiations were handled by all parties concerned, leading to this deal being concluded within relatively short timescales.
We will be working towards our Reserved Matters Planning Application in the New Year and will seek to be commencing works on site in the Summer 2018.
