Mears is delighted to have just installed the 1000th kitchen for NPT Homes in Neath. The kitchen was completed this week as part of on-going work to refurbish NPT Homes’ properties, and also marks the one year anniversary of the contract getting underway. Over the next five years it is expected another 9000 households will benefit from the improvements programme.Tenant Sadie Evans is thrilled with her new kitchen and said “I’m really happy with my new kitchen and it’s made a positive impact on my family’s life. The Mears and NPT Homes team were really helpful and my Tenant Liaison Officer was great. They listened to what I wanted and kept me informed all the way through the works.”Tenants of NPT Homes are being given colour choices when it comes to their kitchen renovations, something which was not available previously. Tenants have been involved since the start of the programme and worked with Mears and NPT Homes to provide a selection of options.Andrew Carey Head of Investment and Regeneration said “The past year has been a really positive one across the borough and 93% of tenants are delighted with the work and the improvement is has had on their lives.
