Outstanding tenant engagement praised

Mears, the UK’s leading provider of social housing repairs and maintenance, has had its outstanding tenant engagement recognised once again.TPAS – the Tenants Participation Advisory Service, the only independent evidence-based accreditation scheme for resident schemes – presented Mears with contractor accreditation this month (October) for the fourth time.TPAS recognised Mears for its credibility and commitment in achieving high standards of tenant involvement. It even recommended that one of our schemes – with Cross Key Homes to improve re-letting – is shared throughout the country as best practice.Jenny Osbourne, TPAS Chief Executive, said, “We are delighted to have worked with Mears to assess their resident involvement arrangements across their whole organisation. Mears have brilliantly demonstrated to us how they deliver high quality services to residents with enthusiasm and professionalism.”Gary Jackson, Mears Director of Customer & Community Success, said: “Mears was the first housing contractor to be accredited by the TPAS for the way we work and engage with our customers.
