Top Marks for Mears Care in South Gloucestershire

Mears Care, who provide home care and support services to over 80 older people living in South Gloucestershire have just been awarded full marks by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) the body that inspects and regulates care services in England.In an unannounced, routine inspection the CQC assessed the local team on the following five areas; respecting and involving people who use services, care and welfare, safeguarding people, staffing and assessing and monitoring the quality of service provision. The CQC awarded Mears with top marks in each of the categories.The CQC spoke with people who used the service with one person stating “the carers help me to keep my independence” while another said they were; “very happy with the staff” and that they “wouldn’t change them for the world, I really couldn’t do without them”.Juliet Padfield who manages the service said; ‘Mears constantly strives to provide the highest levels of care and support. We are delighted that the CQC have recognised the efforts of our hard working and dedicated care workers.’
