What’s cooking at Global Arts

Local contractor Mears has linked up with its local suppliers Premier Kitchens and Jewson to design and install a brand new kitchen for Gloucester based charity Arts in Education.

Mears is currently undertaking planned improvements for Gloucester City Homes across the City and are committed to supporting the local community. Global Arts is a local charity dedicated to delivering arts programmes to the community including community groups, schools and colleges and were therefore a perfect candidate to receive the support from Mears.

With very limited kitchen facilities, the charity had been restricted in the courses they could run from their base in Alfred St. Youth Arts Worker Ropert Mackenzie for Global Arts commented; "the new kitchen gives us a storage and catering facility we didn't have and urgently needed. It will allow us to expand our services and cater for our guests while they are on a course with us."

Operations Manager for Mears, David Milner commented; "Mears have been working with Gloucester City Homes for the last 18 months and share their passion for supporting our local neighbourhoods. We are delighted to have been able to install this new kitchen for Global Arts so they are able to expand their services and therefore benefit the wider community."
