Nurseplus Services

Mears Nurseplus provides community-based, nurse-led care for people with complex medical needs, often due to serious injury or progressive neurological conditions. When personalised, comprehensive care is provided, the service user is able to live at home, maintain independence and achieve a better quality of life within the community.

Mears Nurseplus works collaboratively with NHS and social care professionals, as well as legal and financial institutions, to tailor services that allow individuals to leave hospitals and restart their lives.

Responsive, flexible, continual healthcare

Mears Nurseplus specialises in the care of adult and paediatric clients who have a range of complex conditions that require clinical intervention. Over the past 10 years, we have developed a strong reputation for the quality of our care and our ability to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

What we bring to the table:

  • Sensitivity, integrity, experience and a high degree of professionalism

  • A detailed understanding of our clients’ needs

  • An ability to communicate and work closely with families and friends

Working with clients of all ages, we are experienced in providing care for clients who may have an acquired brain injury (ABI) or a spinal injury that may have resulted from a traumatic event. We also provide services for clients who have severe congenital or life-limiting conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Motor Neurone Disease or Huntington’s.

Our services help clients to live as independently as possible with comfort, consistency, dignity and respect. Our tailor-made long-term care packages can bring a client home from hospital or support them in their current environment.

Our continuing healthcare care packages fall into three main categories:

Hospital to home

Continued healthcare in the home enables clients to come home to a safe and secure environment. Mears Nurseplus can assist with rehabilitation and recovery, as well as deliver longer term care in partnership with a wide range of NHS and Health professionals.

Home healthcare

We tailor care packages to ensure our clients’ aspirations are met. We manage changing care requirements and provide comprehensive clinical management to reduce any secondary conditions.

Away from homecare

Further education, respite breaks and holidays often require additional specialist care and support to maximise the experience for clients and families. We build a support network around a client, enabling them to maximise their experiences as a student or to support shorter breaks away from home.
